I’m currently writing this post at 33,000 feet east bound from 68 degree in sunshine San Diego to 34 degree and rain/snow mix Denver Colorado…
I am returning home from 5 days of extremely mediocre golf and extremely fun camaraderie. It has been nice to be away from the grind. I was only called 6 times on my cell for work related issues, most of which could be solved with a simple 1 minute return call or message. I dread however looking at my e-mail tomorrow morning!
I spent the past few days with five of the greatest friends a guy could have; Stu, Tim, Steve, “T” and my dad, Hoagy. We did all the vacation things, Golf, Dinner, a San Diego Padres game, In and Out Burger… (A California must!), touring the USS Midway Museum, Jacuzzi etc… and had a collective blast.
The time I spent these days with these fine folks will always be cherished. I call them my friends, but they are all part of my family!
I have a few specific recollections that I’ll post on independently about the trip but for the most part I wanted to thank all of these people (along with Ginger, Linda, Maria and Mom for my, Stu’s Tim’s and Dad’s respective Hall Passes) allowing me the opportunity to unwind, decompress and help remove the all to frequent, as of late, scowl on my face. I do appreciate it! Thanks!
