Farewell Tomcat!

Today was the Official Final Flight of the F-14 Tomcat ending a 34 year career in the US Navy!

Allow me to put that in perspective...  34 years ago, was 1972.  The us Navy's front line Fighter was the F-4 Phantom II.  No big deal!

But if you think about it... If another aircraft had lasted as long in service as the F-14, this airplane would have still been in service at the time the F-14 joined the fleet in 1972!

Impressive!  Job well done!  Farewell Tomcat!
