Circling the Family Wagon...

I'm back in Jacksonville, soon to be in Gainesville, FL.  I'm here to provide moral support for my Mom and my Dad while Mom goes through the next phase of dealing with her recently diagnosed pancreatic cancer,the surgery to remove the culprits!  Surgery is planned for tomorrow (Tuesday) and it is anticipated that she will be in the Hospital for nearly 2 weeks. Because of this I made the decision to fly back out to Florida to be with my Mom, Dad and Sister during this trying time. 

Fortunately (or unfortunately depending on perspective) I work out of a virtual office for my company, so as long as I have access to the Internet and my phone, I can work from anywhere.  Which is what I will be doing for the next two weeks while here in the muggy southeast.

Nothing new to report yet, but I will keep you all apprised of Mom's progress, I know a number of you have expressed your best, most heartfelt, warmest wishes for mom's recovery and success in combating this disease, and I know we are all grateful for your support.  Thank you...

First, I don't think I ever realized just how much Dallas Fort Worth (DFW) airport is owned by American Airlines!  Seriously in the two and a half hour layover I had there yesterday I saw ten... count 'em TEN! Aircraft of other carriers!  Wow!

After arriving in JAX, the family headed to dinner... my Low Barbeque Light has now been extinguished.  We then headed for a walk along Atlantic Beach, i managed to capture a few of a really intense sunset.

Looking forward to more walks along the beach with family...
