Home!

Mom is home now!

IMG_6172b

Her voyage to Shands in Gainesville ended the same it began... Delays delays!  After she was advised by the doc at 6:30am that she would be able to go home today... she departed at 3:30pm!

Thanks to the percoset, Mom spent the two hour drive with the best possible view of I-75 and I-10... Through her eyelids!

IMG_6393 She is in her favorite chair now, and managed to read a couple of the literally dozens of cards that were delivered here in her absence, when the first knock on the door arrived.  She is now surrounded by loving friends, neighbors, and church members, she is non stop smiles right now!  What a site to see!

Mom is improving by the hour!  She is even able to eat solid foods... THANK GOD!... cuz there be plenty! We've been here less than a half an hour and already, we have 2 dinners and a breakfast waiting on the counter.  Gotta love southern hospitality!

It was so nice tonight saying the blessing around the dinner table holding mom's hand!

Welcome home Mom...

Looks like VA 115 continues to cover the globe. We just returned from Tim McCormick's wedding in Hungary (He's married a Hungarian girl). It was so good to see your smiling face, Jo, here on John's website. We've had you so close to our hearts these past weeks and wish we could be there in Florida. It's just a relief that you have these surgeries behind you, and we know with all the TLC you're receiving from family and friends, your recovery will be swift. Thanks, John, for keeping us up to date.
Love,
Dianne and David

We just returned from a tour of Ukraine and Romania. Fascinating to observe emerging countries!
We are at once pleased as punch and distressed to learn about Jo's operation and diagnosis (actually, in that order)! Hope all continues to go well! Sounds as though you are in fantastic "hands"! We hold you all in our prayers and will continue to check John's website for updates!
Love,
Kenny and Sandy
