Coast Guard Vice Adm. Thad Allen (photo) has replaced Michael Brown in heading up relief efforts in the wake of Hurricane Katrina!
There is plenty of inaccurate finger pointing going on in the post-Hurricane-Katrina-Monday-Morning-Quarterback-Talking-Head-Love-Fest! But one I cannot see as inaccurate is the incompetence apparent at the top of FEMA.
If ever there is a prerequisite for experience I would think this job would require a wealth of it! Michael Brown has a dearth of it!
Finally it appears, based on seeing Vice Admiral Allen's press conference today on C-span, that someone has done the right thing and put an OPERATOR! in charge! Get it done Admiral, make us proud again!
