I get disgusted every time I read a poll taken that says Americans want the wealthy taxed more and Businesses taxed more. 

Well they didn’t ask this American’s opinion!

A CNN/ORC poll reportedly found the following:

Most Americans want a special congressional committee tasked with drafting a long-term solution to the nation's mounting federal deficits to include tax hikes for the wealthy and businesses and deep cuts in domestic spending, according to a new national survey.

… [it] also indicates that the public doesn't want the super committee to propose major changes to Social Security and Medicare or increase taxes on middle class and lower-income Americans.

My gawd… Did they take a poll of 3rd graders?

Little lesson for you here folks, we need to stop with this “Wealthy need to pay their share!” bovine scatology!  They contribute way more than their fair share!  Yes they have nice houses, yes they live a life of luxury, yes they may not suffer as much as the local McDonalds worker with 4 kids.  SO WHAT?!

Once he is content in his personal interest he has to do something with all that money!  Usually this excess is invested!!!  Look it up!

That wealthy bastard, more than likely owns a business or two that hires any number of employees who earn and contribute to the economy!  He buys capital items for his business with the funds his business earns!  Those capital items come from other companies who hire workers to manufacture them.  If the Wealthy isn’t a direct business owner/runner he more than likely owns shares in companies, these shares are offered to people like you and me to help fund the operations of said businesses!  Want to feel the power of ownership?  Buy a stock!

If we tax these so called wealthy more, that is mathematically less money that employer will have to hire someone.  Look, lets say we tax multi-millionaires another $500,000.00 per year… would that make you feel better that they didn’t have it and the government did?

Why? … Because the government will be so much more efficient with those funds? 

Think about it.  That’s 10 people that employer cannot hire!  That’s 10 more people in the unemployment line, that’s 10 more people taking from the government for literally doing NOTHING!  Except maybe for looking for a job that is not out there because we’ve taxed the wealthy more!

Seriously get off your stupidity horse!

Second part… Let’s tax business more!  Face-Palm-Smack!

There is NO SUCH THING AS BUSINESS!!!  It is PEOPLE!  By taxing business more, we are taxing people more!  Whether they be the consumer of or the employee of that business!  Again for every $30,000 in taxes levied on a “BUSINESS” that is one less employee to be hired!  One less piece of equipment purchased.  That OR the business has to raise prices of goods or services to compensate for the tax increase.  (Ergo a tax on the consumer!)  The monies to pay these taxes don’t magically appear like a fart from a pixie!  They HAVE to come from hard working Americans! 

Now as for… “the public doesn't want the super committee to propose major changes to Social Security and Medicare or increase taxes on middle class and lower-income Americans.”

It is precisely these entitlements that have the “Government” in the pickle its in.  But noooo we can’t touch these because they are so… What?…  effective????   Obviously you are giving the donkey one of your patented cranial enemas!

Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid absolutely need to be re-visited!  Increase the tax on EVERYONE if this is supposed to be for everyone!!! Raise the age of receiving these benefits!!! We’re living longer damn it!  It should ALWAYS be a function of the average lifespan!  And should be revisited every 10 years!  Whoever is born in “X” year is eligible for benefits in “Y” year!

“Don’t tax the Middle class or lower-income Americans…” Why not?  Do they not benefit from government services more than anyone?  Shouldn’t they be called upon to contribute their “Fair Share” too?

I say TAX EVERYONE EQUALLY!  Either a 20% income tax on everyone period!  No deductions!  or… let’s really simplify the tax code and institute a 9% sales tax on all goods sold to an end user (wholesale is exempt).  You pay a tax on that which you can afford!  Also we capture that missing trillion dollars in uncollected revenue from under-the-table employees and illegal aliens.

Also… this method greatly reduces the cost and the size of the IRS!  We could save 100’s of Billions in that alone!

Sometimes I think Shelia Jackson Lee simply cannot help herself.  Matters of truly debatable substance on how to best get our fiscal house in order become a reason to challenge the loyal opposition by baselessly accusing them of being racist!

"I do not understand what I think is the maligning and maliciousness [toward] this president,” said Jackson Lee, a member of the Congressional Black Caucus. “Why is he different? And in my community, that is the question that we raise. In the minority community that is question that is being raised. Why is this president being treated so disrespectfully? …”

Yeah that will rally the party faithful to the cause!

"I am particularly sensitive to the fact that only this president — only this one, only this one — has received the kind of attacks and disagreement and inability to work, only this one," said Jackson Lee from the House floor.

Because Democrats were Oh So Willing to work with the previous administration in a non-confrontational fashion.  What Sheila?…  If you simply say it… it must be true?  SDASTFU!

"Read between the lines," she continued. "What is different about this president that should put him in a position that he should not receive the same kind of respectful treatment of when it is necessary to raise the debt limit in order to pay our bills, something required by both statute and the 14th amendment?"

Ummm, yeah… Its because he’s a minority.  That’s the sole reason intelligent, thoughtful people disagree with this President’s desire to increase our Debt Limit and our Tax burden even further.

Look, I’m tired of this kind of drivel… it serves no purpose to the national discourse!  This is a serious matter before the people, and yes it should be debated by serious adults in a mature manner.  Not that I expect our elected officials to meet any of these expectations, but to instantaneously reduce the structure of the debate to a function of RACE!  Plllleeeaaaassssse!

Sheila does nothing to advance the very real issue of racism in this argument, if anything she belittles it!  By constantly claiming racism any time someone of a color other than our president’s disagrees with him is ludicrous and insulting. 

I am curious, when then Senator Obama actually voted “Nay” and not his usual “Present” on a similar resolution to raise the debt ceiling during the Bush Administration, was it because the President at the time was… uh… I don’t know… maybe… White?

Now on to the real topic at hand… Why do we have a debt ceiling at all?  If all we are going to do is continue to raise it to accommodate our irresponsible spend to the limit (and beyond) , fiscal policies?  When is enough enough?  Sheila’s argument appears to be… Well hell, like all Americans, when we spend beyond our means, we simply go to our credit card agency and request a higher limit!  ~ and of course are always awarded with said higher limit!  “Because, ya know… if they don’t… they are obviously RACIST!”

Isn’t it that kind of thinking that got us here in the first place?  It is time to CUT!  Not tax more! Not spend more!  The teet of the American people has run dry, we’re sick and tired of paying for our Government’s entitlements (read re-election bribes) and some of us are drawing a line.  Others want to continue business as usual and keep milking that cow until she is dry!  Then what?  Seriously it is high time we cut off the spending, reign in federal government’s recklessness in the name of providing for…

At What Point Is Enough, Enough?

“Politically Correct” are two diametrically opposed words forced into grammatical copulation!

Every day we are faced with more and more incidences of our Overly Sensitized – Oprah Worshiping – Bravo Channel Watching – Pacifist Celebrating – Fairness Focused – Macramé Wearing, Medical Hemp Tote’n, Rainbow Wearing,  un-informed public declaring indignation over some perceived wrong and demanding immediate JUSTICE be served!  And like lemmings our knee jerk reaction is to kowtow these pansies and comply with what we perceive THESE Twits would like to have happen!

The latest installment in this is the sacking of US Navy Capt. Owen Honors, the Commanding Officer of the USS Enterprise.

I’ve been holding off on publishing my opinion on this subject due to what I thought initially to be proper temperance on my part.  Better to understand the whole picture before I go off in defense of the Captain or join the lynching.  But the more I restrained my contempt for the situation at large the more frustrated I became.

Honestly… I don’t give a RAT’s ASS what the good Captain said or did in this video production on board OUR most historic warship of the line!  And… NEITHER SHOULD YOU!!! 

We’ve all seen worse on the Tonight Show, The Daily Show, or Comedy Central and we sure as shit didn’t give a crap then!  Actually we probably laughed and told a friend about it the next day at work!

Grow Up!  Sometimes, just sometimes… lewd, demeaning, humorous references about almost every special interest and repressed group are made for the cause of humor, entertainment, and just plain salaciousness.  And you know what?  Sometimes it’s DAMN FRIGG’N FUNNY! (ever watch South Park? and laugh?)  And other times it is a bit embarrassing!  Don’t believe me?  Watch MTV for 7 minutes!  Watch Comedy Central! Watch Cinemax after 10:00pm! Watch Bravo… EVAH!  Or “The 700 club” for that matter too!  It is all Offensive!  To Someone! Somewhere!  That is their (the producers’ the investors’ the corporations’) intent!

Why are we (and I don’t really know who the “WE” is in this scenario) eager to call for the head of a well served, highly decorated, well worth our tax money for the task’s we’ve asked, man, and yet we immediately turn around and ignore much more heinous actions of people like… John Murtha, David Letterman, Tiger Woods, John Edwards, Charlie Rangel… and quite frankly 70% of the sitting elected officials in that cesspool Washington DC!

Here’s what we as TAX PAYERS should demand of our NAVY and those investigating this Oh My God – High Crime!  Find something better to do with your time!!!  Slap this man on the wrist!  (Which was already done 3 years ago!) and let him learn from a VERY SMALL mistake in judgment and get on with carrying out his assigned and well earned duties as a caring CO of a Nuclear Aircraft Carrier!  And if any of the offended SWO’s, Female Sailors, or other wuss’s who can’t take some ribbing would like to… They can leave the boat!  Preferably after she’s cleared the marker!

His statement of “We risk ourselves out there on the field each and every day also…” is completely asinine!  Really? … REALLY! 

I would love for this Narcissistic, prima donna to actually serve on the front lines in the mountains of Afghanistan for a football season!  And make the same $1,547.70 a Marine E-3 get’s paid per MONTH!!!! To “Risk Himself”.

You naïve sonofabitch!  We don’t ‘Boo’ our returning Soldiers, Airmen, Sailors, and Marines because they serve a cause greater than themselves!  They do it 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, for a minimum of 4 years!  They are selfless defenders of our FREEDOM!!!  YOUR FREEDOM A-HOLE!  It is thanks to these men and women on the line that you have the opportunity to make in 2.4 minutes of playing a GAME!!! what these individuals make in a YEAR!!!

How many times were you shot at in those 2.4 minutes?  How many IEDs did you have to look out for?  How many of your fellow teammates were killed in action?

Pastor Terry Jones is an idiot! The Media is Dumber!

Normally I do not talk of men of the cloth with such distain, however the cloth this man is woven from would not even make a good diaper.

By now most of you have heard or read about this knucklehead’s plan to hold a “good’ol fashioned book burnin’!”  With the only title of choice being the Koran (Quran).  Why is he doing it?  To be as IN YOUR FACE as he possibly can toward anyone who will give him airtime to expound on his “anti-damn near anything but especially Muslims” drivel.

I have so much distain for all of this falderal I can barely type straight!  I’m sick of some nut-job minister (who has a whopping 50 followers) capturing any media attention in his stated plans to burn the Koran, this is exactly what this imbecile wants!  So what does CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, NYT, WAPO, HUFFPO, FOX and just about every other media outlet do?  Make news of this twit!  To the point that he and 50 of his sheep, can now create an national incident!

I do find it a bit ironic, however… now that someone from the “Other-Religion” side is also doing something incendiary… y’know similar to putting a Mosque near the site of the greatest single perversion of that religion, an event that killed 2,900+ INNOCENT people!!!!… There are no shouts from ANYONE!  (As it should be!) demanding that these idiots have every right (which they do) to protest, and therefore should go ahead with their plans… which they shouldn’t… due to… here’s that word again, go ahead and look it up lefties!… Insensitivity and confrontational nature of it!

Gov. Charlie Crist of Florida lauded Obama's remarks, saying America is "a place where you're supposed to be able to practice your religion without the government telling you you can't."
New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg called Obama's words a "clarion defense of the freedom of religion" -- and also claimed that he had recently run into a filthy jihadist who actually supported the Quran-burning!

Keith Olbermann read the poem "First they came ..." on air in defense of the Quran-burners, nearly bringing himself to tears at his own profundity.

No wait, my mistake. This is what liberals said about the ground zero mosque only five minutes ago when they were posing as First Amendment absolutists. Suddenly, they've developed amnesia when it comes to the free-speech right to burn a Quran.

Weirdly, conservatives who opposed building the mosque at ground zero are also against the Quran burning.

Right –vs- Wrong

Just because the “Law” (or Constitution) grants you the “Right” to do something, doesn’t mean you “Should”.

The heat is on relating to the construction of a Mosque near Ground Zero, and the political swords have been drawn.  And because of that, now the issue cannot be rationally debated.  Once Nancy Pelosi warped the issue into a reason to investigate the funding of those of us opposed to the idea of building a mosque in this troubled ground, we have taken the “Express-Short-Bus” to the sublime!

Sorry to disappoint you Nancy, most of my funding comes from the Green Energy Management Company I work for, and my occasional Poker Winnings!

Bottom line… YES! The Islamic church (or whatever you want to call the organization) has the “RIGHT” to build a house of worship wherever permitted by zoning laws.  But this “Right” doesn’t make it “Right”.  My opposition comes from the apparent insensitivity on the part of the Islamic Organization who wants to build on this hallowed ground.  It is a slap in the face to those victims of the perverted wing of Islam! 

If the Mainstream Baptist Church wanted to build a church in the crater of an abortion clinic that had been targeted by one of their extremists, I would have the same outrage at the insensitivity.

If a Gun Show was to be held in the park surrounding Columbine High School, I would be critical of the organizers as well! 

Each may have the “Right” but that does not make it “Appropriate”.

Meaning, even though I may agree with an organization’s values (which I don’t in the case of Islam) I do not have to agree with their actions/methods.  This is setting aside politics and leaning on my values and respect of other’s, not my disrespect!

My point… as much as the “Mainstream” Islamic faith wants to distance themselves from the fundamentalist extremists… The Mainstream Islamic Faith bares some responsibility to their extreme wings.  The attack on the United States and all Americans on 9-11 was by ISLAMIC Extremists!  Not by Taliban, Iraqis, Iranians, Afghanis, Pakistanis, Venezuelans, NORKS, Yemenis or Saudis… their whole purpose for their attack was based on their ISLAMIC Beliefs, taught by ISLAMIC Imams, in ISLAMIC Mosques!

Placing a reminder of the perpetrators right smack in the middle of the crater of hate… catalyzed by their very own religion… is insensitivity at its worst.

I do not hold Bloomberg, Obama, the New York Port Authority responsible for their argument that the Islamic Church has every right to build a Mosque on this site, factually that is indeed accurate, and as representatives of a supposedly secular government they have to take that position.  My ire is raised at the Church itself for forcing such an issue or even wanting to force the issue… If you want to nurture understanding, then practice what you preach… Build it somewhere else!

Taxes are going up… FOR EVERYONE!

Despite what you may WANT to believe from the current administration that you will not face increased taxes unless… you know… you’re one of those evil non-productive, teet sucking rich folks.  You’re in for a hellofa surprise. Many are unaware that the “Bush Tax Cuts” are due to expire this year.  Many may assume letting any “Bush” policy expire is a good thing.  I warn you to not get caught up in your zeal to denigrate all things “Bush”.  When these tax cuts expire (a termination date was initially established as an appeasement to the congressional Democrats, instead of making these permanent… so if you hear twits like this trying to point a finger at the Republicans for wanting this to happen… please CALL BULLSHIT!) there are a plethora of increases even the lowest marginal tax payer will be affected by.   Here are some of the low-lights…

The Tax Tsunami On The Horizon

…Resurrection of the death tax, (the death tax returns — at a rate of 55% on estates of $1 million or more.) however, isn't the only tax problem that will be ushered in Jan. 1. Many other cuts from the Bush administration are set to disappear and a new set of taxes will materialize. And it's not just the rich who will pay.

• The lowest bracket for the personal income tax, for instance, moves up 50% — to 15% from 10%. The next lowest bracket — 25% — will rise to 28%, and the old 28% bracket will be 31%. At the higher end, the 33% bracket is pushed to 36% and the 35% bracket becomes 39.6%.
• The marriage penalty also makes a comeback, and the capital gains tax will jump 33% — to 20% from 15%. The tax on dividends will go all the way from 15% to 39.6% — a 164% increase.
• Both the cap-gains and dividend taxes will go up further in 2013 as the health care reform adds a 3.8% Medicare levy for individuals making more than $200,000 a year and joint filers making more than $250,000.
• Other tax hikes include: halving the child tax credit to $500 from $1,000 and fixing the standard deduction for couples at the same level as it is for single filers.

Look, you can buy into the crap that the Government is here to save us all from ourselves, or those evil (non-union) job creating small businesses and corporations.  But I promise you, the more money you remove from individual Americans, the more despair we will face in the coming years.

This White House is amazing… In the whole fiasco that is Joe Sestak, the White House has concocted the following yarn to cover their all too exposed derriere.

The official line is now… after 5 months of being able to develop “the truth”…

“Yes, Bill Clinton, who has no legally binding authority to speak on the White House’s behalf, discussed an UNPAID Administration Job for representative Sestak, in exchange for his not running for Senate against the traitorous Arlen Spector, who had recently become a Democrat… Stating he did so so he would be “Re-elected.”

 

The formally coy Sestak now confirms this story as the accurate one.  Anyone care to guess why he previously wouldn’t volunteer any details about what job he was offered, and by who? 

Hmmm… maybe… could it be, because after his gaffe of publically proclaiming he was all but bribed to not run, he had to wait to have his teleprompter updated with the White House’s damage control?  Especially now after he has won the Pennsylvania Democratic Primary?

Well its a good thing the American Press will do what is best for America and let this issue quietly drop, now that… y’know… the truth has been told.

An Army veteran in Wisconsin will be allowed to display an American flag until Memorial Day, but the symbol honoring his service in Iraq and Kosovo must come down next Tuesday…

…Dawn Price, 27, of Oshkosh, Wis., said she received a call from officials at Midwest Realty Management early Wednesday indicating that she and her husband, Charlie, would be allowed to continue flying the American flag they've had in their window for months through the holiday weekend. The couple had previously been told they had to remove the flag by Saturday or face eviction due to a company policy that bans the display of flags, banners and political or religious materials.

Officials at Midwest Realty Management, which manages Brookside Apartments, where the Prices live, did not return several messages seeking comment. In a statement to the Oshkosh Northwestern, company officials said the policy was established to provide a consistent living environment for all residents.

Oh… You mean there’s an element of Political Correctness involved?

"This policy was developed to insure that we are fair to everyone as we have many residents from diverse backgrounds," the statement read. "By having a blanket policy of neutrality we have found that we are less likely to offend anyone and the aesthetic qualities of our apartment communities are maintained."

I’ve had it!  Caution less than suitable language for kids follows!…

This is HORSESHIT!  If you are offended by my flying the AMERICAN Flag in the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA then you are graciously invited to EAT SHIT AND DIE!  Using the words “Diverse Backgrounds” is a euphemism for easily offended dirtbag-busy-bodies!   I’m disgusted with claims that flying the American Flag in the United States of America is an Aggressive or Hostile act directed at “Diverse Cultures”. 

Expelling kids from a school because they wore American Flag shirts to school on ‘May Day--- the Communist Workers Holiday’ when plenty of Illegal Aliens wearing Mexican flags were all but catered to by school officials is equally reprehensible.  Again if you find the American Flag Offensive or Threatening… well hmmmm, why would that be?  Have you been urinating on America? and expect to get flushed by a patriot?

Freedom to Display the American Flag Act of 2005, which states no condominium association, cooperative association, or residential real estate management association" may stop someone from flying the American flag. The law, however, does not apply to renters.

Stand Up America!  Be proud of who we are!  Yes we are diverse, that’s what makes us great, it is all the more reason to celebrate flying that flag, not cowering from a select few who have no honest concept for what it stands for or are threatened by the freedoms it represents!

All Americans should have the right to fly the American Flag, not just “Homeowners!”

So Why the Tax?

It is my understanding that in the event of ANY oil spill the bill for clean-up and all actions associated with the clean up are the financial responsibility of the Oil Company.  Right?

So why the need for this?  Other than to jack up consumer prices on oil and petroleum related products to the consumer so we all give up our cars for Wind Powered Solar Bicycles?

I’m even confused by the commentary in the article, the political windbags even contradict themselves (I know WOW! that’s a shocker!)

Oil tax increase would help pay to clean up spills

WASHINGTON (AP) - Responding to the massive BP oil spill, Congress is getting ready to quadruple—to 32 cents a barrel—a tax on oil used to help finance cleanups. The increase would raise nearly $11 billion over the next decade.

The tax is levied on oil produced in the U.S. or imported from foreign countries. The revenue goes to a fund managed by the Coast Guard to help pay to clean up spills in waterways, such as the Gulf of Mexico…

…Lawmakers want to increase the current 8-cent-a-barrel tax on oil to make sure there is enough money available to respond to oil spills. At least 6 million gallons of crude have spewed into the Gulf of Mexico since a drilling rig exploded April 20 off the Louisiana coast.

President Barack Obama and congressional leaders have said they expect BP to foot the bill for the cleanup.

"Taxpayers will not pick up the tab," Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., said Monday.

So… Why the tax?

Again, we’re back to the idiot logic of… “We’re not taxing individuals, we’re taxing evil nasty corporations..”  Ignoring that simple fact that increased taxes on companies ALWAYS results in trickle down to the retail price.  Gotta cover the tax somehow.
